Other Useful Links (for entertainment purposes):
1.http://maps.google.ca/help/maps/streetview/
This site is not only fun but it is a great tool for any geography teacher (In my opinion). For example, if you would like to visit the Colosseum in Rome, at the click of a button you've got a visual 3D picture of this magnificant structure. The new and improved feature of street view is not only an amazing feature for entertainment purposes, it can also be incorporated in a geography classroom to make the lesson more engaging.
2. http://www.youtube.com
This site is intended for entertainment purposes (nevertheless can be incorporated into the classroom context). For instance, if a history teacher finds a video that is interesting and related to the course-content, it can be shown in his class and make the lesson more interactive. Here, you will be able to search and explore different videos.

Technology has many different uses in the world today, especially in the field of education. With the many uses of technology, teachers are able to evaluate the daily progress of their students (grades), to incorporate it in their lesson plan so as to create a interesting lecture, as well as creating discussion boards for students to give their insight and much more. Technology has become so advanced that there are countless number of ways one can use it in the classroom. As we know it, the evolution of the Internet and other technologies has greatly advanced in recent years. It has become the most sophisticated tool at our disposal, providing us with a wide range of resources that can be easily accessed anywhere and at anytime!
